Thanks for a fantastic year! And here’s to another one!

2013 – a Year of Programs

We hope you had an opportunity to attend one or more of our great programs this past year. ASLA-
NY offered more than 50 CEU’s on various topics in 2013. From numerous Post-Sandy panels/lectures and other storm-resiliency-related topics to Landscape Architecture Month programs on Green Infrastructure to Green Playgrounds to our June conference on climate change to our many tours for Archtober and NYCxDesign week, among other exciting programs, we had expert and engaging speakers provide us with new ideas and education every month. Our emerging professionals group attended Open Studio events at Matthews Nielsen, Starr Whitehouse, Great Ecology and the Gowanus Canal Conservancy along with a number of fun happy hours. Our Design Awards and President’s Dinner were our biggest events ever and our holiday party was a great success as well. Thanks to all who volunteered to help with these events and to those who joined us. Check out photos from some of our events in our new website Gallery.

Looking forward to 2014

Our programs committee has been hard at work to bring more great programs for you in 2014. Although ideas keep coming in, we have set forth the following outline of events. Some do not have final dates but we will keep you up-to-date through our newsletter, website and social media. Make sure you are connected with us to hear the latest. Please also let us know if you would like to be involved in any of these programs by giving a talk, leading a tour, making suggestions or volunteering to help pull them together. Email [email protected].

Look forward to seeing you at the events.
