Call for Letters of Interest in Grants Supporting Projects Identified in the Lower Esopus Stream Management Implementation Plan

The Hudson River Foundation is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity for Projects Identified in the Lower Esopus Stream Management Implementation Plan. Funding for this program is a component of the Lower Esopus Stream Management Plan (Order on Consent No: D007-0001-11 with New York City as amended in 2023) and is the first of three annual opportunities.

Interested applicants should review both the Lower Esopus Stream Management Plan (SMP) and its associated Implementation Plan (IP). Acceptable projects will be drawn from those included in the Implementation Plan.

The Hudson River Foundation seeks to fund implementable projects that will have a direct impact on reducing water quality impairments. The Foundation anticipates that there will be up to $500,000 available in the 2025 solicitation.

The Foundation seeks applications from municipalities and non-profit [501(c)(3)] organizations, with preference for those with a strong presence in the region Applicants must first submit a letter of interest. Those that best meet the general guidelines and criteria will be invited to submit a full proposal.  Letters of interest must be submitted through the Foundation’s grant application via Altum’s Proposal Central. Proposals are due on July 25, 2025.
