Landscape Architecture Foundation: Ignite-Multi-year program for BIPOC landscape architecture students

LAF Ignite is a multi-year program for BIPOC landscape architecture students, providing participants with an annual $10,000 scholarship, annual paid summer internship, and access to mentors throughout their educational path. Each year, 3 students are accepted into Ignite and participate until they have completed their landscape architecture degree.
For the 2022 and 2023 application years, eligible candidates must:
  • Identify as Black/African American (this will be expanded in future years)
  • Be undergraduate or master’s students enrolled in an LAAB- or LAAC-accredited landscape architecture program
  • Not currently be in their final year of study
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrate a commitment to landscape architecture
  • Be able to commit to full participation in Ignite
