Wagner Hodgson Landscape Architecture’s Hudson, New York office is seeking a landscape architect with 8-10 years’ experience. Wagner Hodgson is an award-winning landscape architecture firm with 14+ staff in two studios – Hudson, NY and Burlington, VT. Structured as a traditional open design studio, Wagner Hodgson encourages and fosters a collaborative design process amongst our team and clients. Hudson is a small city with artistic vibrancy, urban grit and adjacency to the natural splendor of Hudson River Valley farms, open spaces, and Catskill Mountains, and yet very accessible to NYC by train. Position requirements:
• High level of design aptitude and skill
• Experience with high-end residential projects
• Strong knowledge of planting design and plant identification
• Degree in landscape architecture from an accredited school
• 8-10 years’ experience in the field
• Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Strong construction detailing skills
• Experience with construction administration
• Team oriented, flexible, and positive attitude
• Proficiency with:
o Adobe Creative Suite
o AutoCAD
o Microsoft Office
o Initiating design concepts
o Hand sketching and drawing
o SketchUp or Rhino (not required, but preferred)
o Lumion (not required, but preferred)
