Richardson & Associates, just minutes from the ocean, mountains, and The City of Portland, Maine is looking for the right people to join our expanding team.

With an exciting roster of work at the ready,  R & A is currently interviewing for both a  project manager and project assistant position.  We are looking to not simply fill these roles, but to find the right fit for our office.

Our studio environment values design, collaboration, innovation, and quality. Our projects are diverse in scale and type and typically include working on integrated teams with a variety of like-minded allied professionals. With an office full of a dynamic range of quality projects (and people!) both roles offer the right applicants experience in a hands-on process of design from inception through in-field construction administration.

While our team is currently working in a remote capacity, we remain hopeful that this will shift back to an in – office collaborative team in the future, when  it is appropriate and safe.

For both positions a Master’s Degree is preferred.  Knowledge of Mac platform is a plus.

Project Manager Applicants:

  • 4+ years minimum experience in a landscape architecture firm
  • Excellent written, graphic (hand and computer), and technical skills
  • A strong design sensibility.
  • Management experience with all aspects of a project through implementation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable managing a diversity of tasks, as well as be self-motivated, articulate and willing to take initiative.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-up are required.

Project Assistant Applicants:

  • 2+ years minimum working experience in a landscape architecture firm
  • Excellent written, graphic (hand and computer), and technical skills
  • Strong desire to learn all aspects of project process in a hands-on design environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and support the firm in varying capacities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-up
