We seek a self-motivated Project Manager / Technical Designer to perform as manager of multiple projects – guiding the technical design, documentation and implementation on urban design and landscape projects of varying scales. This will encompass representing the firm in the delivery of projects.
–Professional degree in landscape architecture, architecture, and/or related discipline and minimum 5+ years professional experience.
–Excellent communication skills, fluent in English – spoken and written.
–Ability to express design ideas quickly, clearly and succinctly.
–Excellence in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation, including managing documentation production and coordination with consultants.
–Experience with bidding & negotiation, and construction administration, including preparing cost estimates and specifications.
–Demonstrated technical expertise and problem solving abilities.
–Excellent understanding of grading design, planting design, natural systems, materials, construction details.
–Should have strong ability with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Rhino, and basic rendering programs.
–Organizational and time-management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
–Willingness to take on constructive guidance in response to direction from managers.
–Ability to lead and manage projects as well as mentor junior staff.
–Experience working with Public Agencies is a plus.
–Experience working in a leading American or international architecture office is preferred.
