Christian Duvernois Landscape/Studio (CDL/S) is a landscape art, design and construction management firm located in NoHo, New York City, with an upcoming full-time position available (start date of Jan. 3, 2024) for a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented landscape designer or landscape architect with at least 1-3 years of related experience.

The landscape designer will be primarily involved in the development of projects from conceptual design through implementation drawings. The preferred candidate will possess strong illustrative skills for the production of sketches, renderings, plans, sections, and design vignettes, and will be technically proficient for the development of planting plans, hardscaping bid sets, and material schedules and estimates. Candidates should be detail-oriented, hard-working and self-motivated, with the ability to work as a team player within a fast-paced studio environment.

The ideal candidate shall demonstrate the following:

• • Fluent proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/Indesign), Microsoft Office, & SketchUp

• • Working proficiency in rendering software such as TwinMotion, Shaderlight, or similar, preferred

• • Excellent hand-drawing/sketching skills and ability to rapidly express design ideas

• • Strong knowledge of hardscape and plant materials, in terms of design, application, and sustainability

• • Ability to work across multiple projects of varying scale, complexity, and style

• • Clear verbal and written communication skills

• • Ability to assist with correspondence between clients, allied professionals, contractors and material vendors

• • General tasks, including telephone calls, ordering supplies, social media posting, and miscellaneous office duties

• • Project management and small business experience a plus

• • Photography and art crafting experience a plus

• • BLA, MLA, or related degree
