Abel Bainnson Butz, LLP (ABB) is an established 15-person firm based in Manhattan that offers professional landscape architectural design and site planning services. ABB has a diverse portfolio of high-quality urban design projects of all scales including waterfront parks, plazas, parks and playgrounds, sports and recreational facilities, streetscapes, and rooftop developments.

We are seeking highly-qualified, creative Landscape Designers/Architects who are detail-oriented critical thinkers and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment to work on a wide range of projects. Candidates with previous experience on public NYC projects are highly desirable.

Opportunities

Successful Jr Landscape Designer (entry – 3 yrs experience) candidates will possess the following:

• • Superior design abilities including detailed design development

• • Superior graphic communication skills

• • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Sketch-Up and Rhino (Lumion a plus)

• • Excellent time management and organizational skills

In addition to the above, successful Landscape Designer/Architect (3-5 yrs experience) candidates will possess the following:

• • Strong competencies in grading design, planting design and construction detailing

• • Cost estimating experience

• • Demonstrated success as a project manager

• • Construction admin experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
