At the direction of Governor Hochul, NYSDEC, Department of State (DOS), Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), and Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) are leading the development of the NYS Adaptation and Resilience Plan (NYSARP). They are hosting a summer webinar series that will cover an overview of the NYSARP process and future opportunities to provide input as well as currently available state resources to support local and regional adaptation. The NYSARP overview will be the same across all webinars. Webinar series topics range from community-based resilience planning, using nature-based solutions to adapt to climate change, and new resources on disaster preparedness.
Join us on Thursday, July 24 at 12:00pm to learn how DEC is helping communities and ecosystems to thrive and build climate resilience. Hear about resources and programs available to support local climate adaptation and resilience through the DEC Office of Climate Change, Office of Environmental Justice, Division of Water, Division of Lands and Forests, and the NYS Environmental Bond Act.
