Richard Alomar, RLA, ASLA. Rutgers Department of Landscape Architecture
Richard teaches design and construction to undergraduate and graduate students in the department of Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He promotes sketching through sketch-walks, lectures, research and academic writing. His teaching extends to school children, design professionals and to the general public with sketching programs in New York City and across New Jersey. He has an undergraduate degree in Agronomy from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez and an MLA from Louisiana State University. Richard has led sketching field sessions at the national ASLA conventions for many years and organized sketch tours for ASLA-NY in association with Landscape Architecture Month for over 5 years.
Materials, Lunch and Travel:
1. Small Moleskine Cahier Notebooks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
2. The exercises require a limited number of pens and pencils. Bring your favorite outdoor drawing materials.
3. Lunch is included
4. Subway and bus travel will require a MetroCard.
