About the 2026 HEP Conference
The NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program’s 2026 Conference will take place on Thursday, November 12, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the CUNY Graduate Center. This year’s conference will focus on the theme “Shared Work, Lasting Impact: Cultivating Effective Partnerships,” exploring how collaboration can help move the 2025-2035 Action Agenda forward while strengthening existing and new partnerships across the Estuary.

Call for Abstracts | Conference Poster Presentations
The NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program invites partners to submit an abstract for the in-person poster session at our 2026 conference. Poster presenters may include anyone in academia (including students), government and non-governmental organizations, and consulting, utilities, and/or community groups.
Submission Details
We welcome abstracts for poster presentations of research, planning, and/or implementation projects (including pilot programs and community science work) located (at least in part) in HEP’s boundaries. Given this year’s conference theme, we are looking to highlight activities, partnerships, and research that align with the current Action Agenda and are focused on how partnerships and collaborative action can help us to accomplish our shared goals (Water Quality, Habitat & Ecological Health, Public Access, Port & Maritime, and Community Engagement).
Posters will be displayed during a 45-minute in-person conference session where the presenting author will share and answer questions about their projects. You can read last year’s poster presentation abstracts here.
