Please join the New York chapter of the ASLA at the newly completed 65/75 Dupont in Brooklyn. It is a shining example of creating green space and elevated amenity areas as the new standard for urban construction. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Madison Realty Capital, the two-phase project spans 400,000 square feet and yields 471 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, with 143 designated for affordable housing. The property was formerly addressed as 14 Clay Street and is bound by Dupont, Clay, and Franklin Streets. These two large buildings provide a unique understanding of the necessities of locally manufactured green roof media, lightweight aggregate, and critical insight into logistics coordination during construction as well as installation via pneumatic blower trucks.
The event will include a site tour, which will provide ASLA CEUs (1.0 unit) for learning opportunities in small group sessions. The four stations on the roof will highlight green roof media, lightweight aggregate, landscape planning, and blower truck operations during these 15-to-20-minute sessions led by industry experts from project participants.
