What is Ecological Land Care? Why it is Important and the Role You Can Play

Perfect Earth Project presents a four-part introductory course on the basics of ecological land care, and how nature functions as a connected system. We will look closely at different types of landscapes, understand what they need, and learn how to integrate all these discoveries into good, actionable decisions that will help you care for places that are resilient, biodiverse, and welcoming to all forms of life.
What is Ecological Land Care? is the inaugural course of Perfect Earth Project’s first-of-its-kind educational training program focused on teaching ecological land care through applied, experiential education that connects directly to real-world opportunities.
By the end of the course, students will have practiced how to read landscapes to understand their purpose, conditions, and how management choices affect ecological health. They’ll learn the language of the ecological movement, strengthen their observation and plant identification skills, and practice communicating ecological land care choices in ways that respond to real-world concerns and build support and community.
Format: 4-session in-person course series
