City Parks Alliance: Greener & Greener 2022

Learn how cities can provide solutions for challenges from climate change to systemic inequities by developing resilient strategies. At Greater & Greener, we’ll have an entire track dedicated to these conversations and ideas as well as mobile workshops and tours to see strategies in action in neighborhoods across Philadelphia.

The “Resilient Cities” track will showcase the critical ways urban parks strengthen municipal resilience planning–and how parks are an essential part of urban infrastructure that protects biodiversity, keeping cities cooler and more adaptable to change.

In this track’s sessions, we’ll hear from experts about:

• Community-led heat mitigation strategies
• Parks as community spaces for climate action
• Funding equity for resilient parks
