Get Excited for City of Water Day 2025!

City of Water Day will be back this year on Saturday, July 12! Now in its 18th year, City of Water Day is a region-wide day, organized by Waterfront Alliance and the New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), to champion a climate-resilient New York and New Jersey harbor.

Dozens of communities across all five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland counties, and New Jersey will host events on and near the water that celebrate the importance of a resilient and equitably shared waterfront. From free kayaking to rowing to hands-on workshops, these events offer community members opportunities for fun, education, and access to their local waterfront

Registering your event adds you to the list of events featured on our City of Water Day Events Map, and includes your event in City of Water Day regional marketing. You may register a new event or edit your submitted form until July 6, 2025.

To be considered for small grant funding though, events must have be registered by May 11. Awarded events will be announced shortly
