Join us for International Park(ing) Day when communities come together to activate streets for people.

What: Transforming parking spaces into temporary parks is a creative way to raise awareness about the importance of creating more sustainable and engaging urban environments. The event will incorporate educational activities and games to engage participants and inspire a new generation of landscape architects, urban planners and environmental leaders. This type of hands-on experience can have a lasting impact on how people view public spaces and the possibilities for creating more vibrant and people-friendly streetscapes.
We will hold virtual planning meetings in July and August and a work session in early September. We seek creative team members to help design the parklets, plan, and work with community members on the event day.
NEW THIS YEAR: We will host a little design competition to design your ideal parklet! We encourage firms and groups to form teams to design their own 8'x16' space. Stay tuned for details.
