Building on the work of ASLA’s Racial Equity Plan, National ASLA and the Boston Chapter invite you to join them for dinner and a superb movie, the award-winning A Reckoning in Boston on Thursday, May 20, 6pm ET.
The Boston Globe describes the movie as a deep and raw “examination of Boston’s inbred racial inequities that tackles the subject on both the systemic/structural level and the deeply personal.”
This film aligns with many of our Racial Equity Plan goals, including:
2) Acknowledging Racism in the Profession and Honoring the Forgotten
3) Reshaping the Conversation and Transforming Frameworks
4) Leading Through Education, Conversation, and Policy
The hope is that this event will broaden understanding of systemic and structural racism and equip all chapters with strategies to re-examine and address racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
