AIA-NY: Scenario Planning for the BQE: Known Unkowns in the Age of COVID

September 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

- Free – $10

Since the last BQE forum examining the impact of potential rebuilding on adjacent neighborhoods, everything has changed! From COVID-19 and racial upheaval to the economic fallout, almost all of planning and design assumptions have been upended and we must collectively re-examine our basic priorities.

This webinar will review recent work by the Regional Plan Association and others focused on how to plan in a context of uncertainty by examining potential future scenarios. A panel of economic, planning and community respondents will examine these scenarios with respect to future steps for the BQE.

Moderator:
Ernest Hutton, Assoc. AIA, FAICP, Founder and Principal, Hutton Associates

Speakers:
Regina Myer, President, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership
Jeremy Siegel, AICP, Associate, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG)
Allen Swerdlow, FAIA, Principal Architect, d7architects
