Over the last month the jurors have reviewed all entries in the categories of Built Design, Conceptual Design, Research & Communication and Student Award. The jurors expressed that due to the high quality of the entries it was difficult to select entries for the shortlist in each category.
The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics is a research institute within Stony Brook University devoted to exploring fundamental knowledge in mathematics and theoretical physics. The Center was created to provide an environment where researchers could exchange ideas and work across the divide between disciplines. The landscape of the Center furthers this mission and deepens the appreciation of the Center’s work within the larger University community by providing settings for interdisciplinary collaboration and by expressing the beauty of scientific and mathematical concepts within the design.
The jurors are now reviewing the shortlisted entries with the winners to be announced in mid- April.
