The 2023 application cycle of the Independent Projects grant program, now in its second year as a partnership between The Architectural League and the New York State Council on the Arts, is now open. They are currently accepting proposals for year-long projects in design fields to receive grants of $10,000.
Independent Projects is a competitive grant program for creative and research projects in fields including architecture, landscape architecture, historic preservation, community-centered design, fashion, graphic, industrial, and interior design. This year, they will support 25 projects with grants of $10,000 each. The program is open to all New York State-based individuals and teams working in design professions.
