About the Project:
Scissortail Park is a 70 acre urban oasis, community centerpiece, model of sustainable design and transformative publicly funded projects, and catalyst for the revitalization of surrounding neighborhoods. Named by the citizens of Oklahoma City, the park inspires civic pride through economic development, cultural growth, improved health and wellness, and enhanced quality of life. The design of the park celebrates the ecosystems of the region and unfolds in a series of diverse landscapes that track the transition from City to River, embedded with program for all ages and seasons –paths lead to nodes of content, the landscape creating a framework of discovery. The park has become a beloved destination, providing nature in the city for all.
