About the Project:
Though strategically located between a key Moscow transportation hub and the Third Ring Road, this 7.7 acre abandoned site has failed to serve its open space starved neighborhood and citizens in transit. What was once a genteel exclusive 19th century strolling ground will be transformed into an inclusive model of 21st century social, cultural, and economic sustainability where neighbors meet.
Paveletskaya Park is conceived as a cap park; a great 21st-century urban stage on which everyday life unfolds and under which one is connected to the Metro and a retail emporium. It transforms civic life into a series of magical social, cultural, and retail experiences set into a sculpted verdant setting that fosters a rich array of planned and impromptu activities.
