About the Project:
Bronx Point is a new community-oriented public space that seeks to reconnect people to the Harlem River waterfront. The project will create an esplanade and park along the river in conjunction with a mixed-use and affordable housing building that will house the Universal Hip-Hop Museum. Bronx Point expands public parkland and creates a flexible plaza space at Exterior Street that will serve as a gateway to reconnect with the surrounding neighborhoods. Season programming and activities will include a nature-themed playground, a water get-down for educational opportunities, a Billion Oyster Project reef, adult fitness, among other amenities.
Bronx Point is the first affordable housing project to be verified through the national Waterfront Alliance’s WEDG standard.
