Are you interested in getting more involved in your profession by joining the Executive Board of the New York Chapter of ASLA? Being part of the Board is a great way to promote the field of Landscape Architecture and support the professional community by guiding the direction of your chapter, developing great relationships with other Landscape Architects and impacting the future of the profession in the New York metro area.

Open positions for the New York Chapter include the officer role of Secretary (two-year term) and five Executive Board positions (two-year terms).

Board members must hold active ASLA membership. Join or renew now by visiting asla.org. The Board meets approximately ten times per year and members are expected to chair committees and attend chapter events. Prior involvement on a chapter committee is preferred. If you are interested in running for any position, please email a statement of interest (200 words max) and headshot (2″ square: 200×200 pixels, max 300 dpi) to our  Executive Director. Our Nominating Committee will evaluate the submissions and reach out to you regarding next steps.

The election will be held in July and the term begins after the ASLA Conference in October.

Bio: 150 words max, word doc format

Filename shall be in the format: Lastname_firstname_bio

• Where you work / type of work you do (keep this part brief)
• How long you have been a licensed landscape architect (if applicable) or a designer, how long you have been a member
• What ASLA activities / committees you have been involved in 
• How you would contribute to the board / represent all members
• Other volunteer work / professional organizations you have been involved in
• Optional: a personal-level fact or interest that people can associate you with
• Optional: list the school(s) you graduated from and degree(s)
