Carl Carlson, RLA, ASLA
Carl Carlson is a New York and Connecticut Registered Landscape Architect working for a private environmental non-profit. Carl graduated from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and began his career in residential design in Greenwich, CT. After a period working in both Construction Management and Environmental Consulting, Carl now works as the Chief Operating Officer for Butler Conservation Fund, where he has overseen $60 million worth of park construction in four states and 3 countries along with several million dollars’ worth of grant making to other environmental organizations. As part of his work with BCF, Carl also oversees a youth outdoor education program that has served over 100,000 students in the last ten years, teaching them kayaking, biking, and cross-country skiing skills while introducing them to beautiful outdoor settings.
As a result of his wide-ranging job experience, Carl has a deep understanding of how landscape architecture can provide a strong foundation for many career paths. Carl has the regular opportunity to see Landscape Architecture’s capacity to resonate with the general public and especially children, through their visits to BCF facilities.
Landscape Architects have the unique ability to create spaces that will protect the earth’s resources and influence the next generation of conservationists and land stewards. He believes that in difficult times, our profession is needed more than ever to reach the broadest diversity of people to ensure a health planet for years to come.

Jacob Glazer, RLA, ASLA
Jacob Glazer is a Landscape Architect, and works as an Associate at SWA/Balsley. He is excited to be practicing in New York City during what he considers a renaissance for Landscape Architecture—with historic levels of private and public enthusiasm for quality open space.
Jacob comes to Landscape Architecture from a slightly different angle, having changed careers later in life and taken an unconventional path. He likes to bring this different perspective to the Executive Board, raising questions and offering alternate ideas. He wants to continue out-of-the-box thinking so the New York Chapter can evolve and adapt with this rapidly changing world – furthering the opportunities to its members and reaching a wider audience.
He previously served on the ASLA-NY Executive Board (2016-2018) and is a member of the Programs committee where he is currently helping to organize some exciting (and educational) events. He is now seeking to serve as Treasurer, where he can help steer the chapter through upcoming obstacles and make sure financial decisions will be of maximum benefit its members.

Jonathan Crocca, ASLA
Jonathan is a landscape designer based in NYC since 2013. His professional goals include becoming a licensed Landscape Architect and increasing environmental justice and resilience through green infrastructure design and improving the ecological function of urban space.
Jonathan earned his MLA from CCNY while interning with Greenwood Robinson, now Fieldform, a small design‐build firm based in Brooklyn. There, Jonathan had the opportunity to train with entrepreneur and principal Samuel Robinson in the practice of residential landscape design and installation and develop his project planning, coordination and client interface skills. Since then Jonathan has been employed by larger multidisciplinary firms; D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C. where he worked as a consultant to NYCHA as a Landscape Architectural designer, developing the quality of residential green space and becoming familiarized with the landscape typology of urban communities. Currently, Jonathan works for Entech Engineering PC as a consultant Resident Engineer for the reconstruction of urban parks with the NYCDPR where interdisciplinary coordination and design implementation quality have been areas of professional growth.
Jonathan is actively engaged in the ASLA‐NY Programs Committee, focusing on event coordination for emerging and allied professionals, enabling growth and education across NYC’s professional community. Jonathan hopes to enhance his ability to serve the ASLA by becoming a member of the executive board. Additionally, Jonathan is committed to increasing the visibility and agency of the field of Landscape Architecture through the Advocacy and Policy Committee, working to bring sustainability and environmental resilience issues to the forefront of professional and political discourse.

Suzanne Greene, ASLA
Suzanne has been on the Board of ASLA-NY since October 2018. She is hoping to be re-elected this year to continue doing the work needed to further the mission “to advance landscape architecture through advocacy, communication, education, and fellowship. Healthy, beautiful, and resilient places for all. Committed to learning, constant improvement, and achieving the best outcomes for members in all endeavors.” She still recalls ASLA President Paul Morris, FASLA (2002-2003) sharing this very important message to a group of MLA students during a grant workshop at her alma mater, the University of New Mexico, School of Architecture + Planning +LandArch.
Suzanne’s employer since 2017, Elizabeth J Kennedy, RLA, ASLA is very supportive of her contributions to the NY-ASLA Board and appreciates the significance of broadening appreciation of the cultural narrative, preserving the relationships between natural and cultural resources, and recognizing the collective human experience – just as EKLA PLLC’s collective works embody inclusivity, social equity, and environments that support all people –Suzanne’s goal is to instill these values in her contributions to NY-ASLA. Suzanne has volunteered for the President’s Dinner, served on the Awards Committee (2018), the Advocacy Committee (2019) and is currently co-chairing the Membership Committee.
When not involved with saving humanity she takes her disabled Corgi, Turbo, for short walks in his wheelchair and otherwise lets him, at 13, do whatever he wants her to do for him!

Matthew Houser, RLA, ASLA
Matthew is originally from Chicago and a licensed landscape architect. Since last year he has worked and lived in NYC as the first Eastern Regional Sales Manager for QCP. As he continues to grow and expand the QCP brand on a national level, his sustained priority is to provide a valuable and reliable resource to the design market.
Matthew has been a member to the Illinois chapter since he was a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His most involved role in the chapter was serving as the Public Awareness Chair. While leading this committee he produced an event called “Screening Under the Glass”, that was co- hosted by the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. The event entailed 100s of Chicagoans coming together for the screening of the PBS segment “10 Parks that Changed America” at the Conservatory.
Matthew would be honored to serve on the NY chapter board offering a fun and fresh perspective to the team. His goal would be to continue public outreach work and sustain partnerships with allied organizations throughout the five Burroughs. With the intention to combine forces and promote impactful visibility to the industry from all walks of life.
